1.  Shop for groceries yourself. Look for fresh fruits and vegetables.

2.  Follow the golden rule of - " No feasting or fasting" even for a single meal.

3.  Remember to include two vegetables and one fruit in every meal. Retain the peels of vegetables- like potato/ carrots while cooking.

4.  Have a variety of coloured vegetables and fruits through the week.

5.  Cook the healthy way - with less salt and oil. Avoid too much of deep-frying or overcooking of vegetables.
